Dodge that 'rona

So this past month has been interesting, the first Tuesday I got here we got a call from a member that we had gone to a lesson with had covid and we called our mission nurse and we had to quarantine for 2 weeks... SAD! But, those 14 days passed and we got out and then a week later a missionary we spent some time with got sick but not with covid so our mission nurse had us quarantine for 2 days for whatever reason. Luckily we got out and were able to have Thanksgiving with 3 different families! It was a good day regardless of how much food we were basically forced to eat.

The past few pdays we have gone to the beach and played some volleyball, its been a ton of fun being back on the beach and being able to go even though its November. Last Friday we were able to go and street contact in Destin and talk to a bunch of people, it was a ton of fun being out and about talking to people again. Well sorry this email has been all over a lot has happened over the past month. I hope yall have had a great November!

Back On The Beach

So last week was transfers, and I got transferred to Fort Walton Beach Florida. My new companion is Elder Stefani he's been out 6 weeks longer than me, and he's from Port St Lucie Florida. So we found out our news last Monday night, but due to hurricane Zeta they moved transfers from Wednesday to Friday. So we had 2 extra days.

So on Wednesday we went up to Dothan for a Dr's appointment for Elder Corey and due to Zeta and unpredictable weather our mission President had us stay in Dothan with some missionaries there. Then we went back to Marianna the next day after the storm had passed through and we just did normal stuff. Towards the end of the day we went to the Guatemalans to say bye and then I called a bunch of the members to say bye as well. Then Blake and Grace came to the church to say bye. And then we went to bed and the next morning we headed to Prattville.

I got my companion and headed to Ft Walton. The area is nice, it's the most populated area I've served in before, and it's also the smallest area. There are two Air Force bases here, so a lot of the members are active duty and so the ward has quite a bit of young families. Having young families in my area is also something I haven't experienced haha. Yesterday was this wards first time going back to church, and it was my first time going back in 8 months! It was good to be able to meet a lot of members pretty quickly.

Well that was my week, hope y'all had a good week.
