Opposite day

Hello Everyone,

These past few weeks have been good, Peggy was baptized, and we went to the temple and had zone conference... Good times
Our mission is changing... A lot they are combining our 10 zones and making only 3 zones. Don't ask why... I'm still confused. We also are focusing a crap ton on family history. Which is great-ish... I think it's a bit overboard but we will see.
We had a lesson on Tuesday and we when we got there we noticed that she was extremely inebriated... So we said we had somewhere to be said a prayer and gave her a BOM... But in fact we had an hour and a half for this lesson prepared but she couldn't understand anything... She thought we brought a dog with us. And that we were gonna give a ticket to the fair. So the lesson was a bust to say the least. We found out on Friday that it was some medications mixed with a new med she was taking and she couldn't remember anything from the 3 days she was taking them... Yeah it was nuts.
There has been a less active member we have been working with, she moved her a few years ago but her records were never moved here so we had her work with the bishopric to get them. SLC searched and could not find them anywhere. Two options were given to us to tell her,
1. Find a witness or something that proved she was a member or baptized at one point
Or
2. Get re-baptized.
When we told her this yesterday privately during the transition period between sacrament and 2nd hour she started laughing hysterically and then jumped up began crying and left. An experience to say the least, one I will not soon forget nor one that I would want to have again. She told her friend (a recent convert... Kristina) that she wanted no contact from the church and would lay in bed until she dies. Mind you she is in her mid 60's, however Kristina says she is over reacting and will chill out in a few weeks and hopefully we will be able to re-baptize her but only time will tell. That was my week fun experiences and some not so fun experiences.
(regarding the title it is because as a missionary I feel like I have brought a few closer to Christ, and ultimately the church, but I have yet to push one further away and this week unfortunately I accomplished that, if your confused read the paragraph above)
