It's been a while!/Transfers

Hey guys its been a while! sorry I haven't sent out an email the past few weeks nothing very exciting happened. this week was transfers and so that's why my pday was on Tuesday, Elder Meredith and I are staying here in Foley! over the past few weeks we started to teach 3 new people! Sam is the first one and he is a younger British guy who married a member and moved down to gulf shores a couple months ago and we've been trying to work with him for a while now but he finally let us teach him a lesson last week! it was great
we also got a referral and her name is Susan and we've been working with her and its been great, she was so intrigued by the Book of Mormon luckily we had a couple
we also found another new person and she is great! shes had a pretty hard life and so shes very open to the gospel, and the peace it can bring.
last Monday we went to a Pentecostal Holiness church and it was so much fun, not really my idea of church but it made our Monday night a lot of fun my right ear was deaf for about an hour afterwards.
well that was my past week
Hope you guys all had a great week!

Week 9 - Hey it's me your buddy...

Hello All,

This week has been amazing! it started out with a lot of rain... a lot of rain!! here in Alabama they have massive "gutters" on the side of the road that are like 2-3 feet deep and they were getting full! so after a little bit of updating area book and cleaning going we went to go visit some less active members, and that was Tuesday.
Wednesday was a little less rainy but it still rained for sure, but we still went went to the animal shelter and did some service! after that we did some finding. After that we went to mutual and right after mutual is seminary so we were just going to sit in on that, but we get a text from the seminary teacher telling us that HER CAR GOT STOLEN!! so she asked us to teach it, so we had an opportunity to practice teaching a lesson! Back to the stolen car... apparently a group of teenagers from Florida came and stole 30 cars this past week!!! and broke into some others! it was nuts!
Thursday was Halloween and we had to be back in our apartment by 6 pm so we had a couple of appointments and dinner with a member and after that we came back to the apartment to clean and reorganize some things.
Friday was by far my favorite day! we had zone conference and it was absolutely amazing! something that President Allred really focused on was Family History! he also told us that knocking doors is a thing of the past. if appointments fall through we are to visit less active members only if we have visited all the less active members can we tract, and there are about 250 less active members in our ward, so what I heard was that tracting is no more period, which is OK because everyone down here doesn't give a hoot about what we have to say. But the coolest thing about zone conference is that we will be able to go to the temple once a transfer!!!
Saturday was filled with less active member visits and a couple of referrals.
Sunday was church and less active member visits!
and that was my week! hope you all had a great week and hope you all have a great week!!
